1 | take up "his" cross | Luke 9:23 | PDAL | 200124 | ||
Thanks Doc... Our pastors teach us that there is really only one message in the bible and that is God's plan of redemption(which can be seen throughout the entire bible).God's one man plan to reconcile us back to Him through Jesus Christ and that we must see everything through the cross.A Finished Work.They teach us to see God's view and not man's view. |

Dear PDAL, You wrote, "Our pastors teach us that there is really only one message in the bible and that is God's plan of redemption." And that represents the consensus of the church, which thing they should be teaching. (cf Hebrews 1:1-2; Luke 24:27, etc.) Be careful about the "God's view" versus "man's view" thing. Certainly it is taught in Scripture. But people twist it (2 Peter 3:16b) to basically ignore everything the Holy Spirit has taught the church over the centuries. Pretty silly, that, since it is clearly not what the Scriptures teach, but actually represents one of those "man view" things! (cf Colossians 2:8) The teachers that do this maintain their authority over the ignorant masses that way. It puts us all the way back into the Dark Ages. Ah, well, Satan doesn't need to try new things when the old things work so well! In Him, Doc |
