1 | Why are we Fake sometimes? | Luke 9:23 | MiriamDamarisy | 45601
God say's in Luke 14:27 "And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple." God wants us to take up our cross daily. Meaning we need to stand up for what we believe in and take everything that comes with it. Some people want to be Christians, but don't want to give up their cussing, drinking, premarital sex, smoking ... etc. In order to be a good strong Christian we need to give up those worldly things we want. Because how can we say we are a Christian when we still cuss and doing other wrong things? Isn't that a little hypocritical? Yes, and that's why people wont come to church because of all the hypocrites in church. We need to start setting an example and be who we say we are. Take up your cross daily and set an example. If this is True, why is it hard to follow? |

2 | Why are we Fake sometimes? | Luke 9:23 | Trilla | 45675
This verse is terribly misunderstood. Denying yourself is not aceticism (sp?). Denying yourself is admitting that you can't live a holy life on your own strength. Taking up your cross doesn't mean bearing a burden. Take up the benefits that come from the cross, and everything that Jesus there paid for in full. Salvation, Sanctification, Healing, the Holy Spirit, Power to Life for God the only way we can, IN CHRIST.
