1 | can i get to heaven just readibg a bible | Luke 8:21 | HisRemnant | 233345
According to John1:1 God and Jesus are the word. The word states that every man shall lie but God will tell the truth. According to luke10:39-42 the only thing needed is listening to the Word. So as stated by the God who cannot lie the only requirement He has for me is that I stop letting things distract me and I read the bible. So why is it no one believes this? They tell me I'm wrong and list a bunch of guidelines and indoctrinations I should follow. Its like they enjoy the burden of slavery to sin as they attempt to be justified by tge law. Jesus is the word and it seems to me that people tell me I'm wrong which means that they don't even believe themselves wgen they say jesus is the answer. Am I wrong ? The guy who stands alone or is it the other 98billion ppl who are mistaken

There is huge leap from listening to listening. The word listening means more than just hearing the words of the Bible. It means applying them to your life. Jesus said if you love me you will obey my commandments. I can hear those words and node my head in agreement but unless I obey Jesus' commandments I never really "LISTENED" to them. Christianity is not a dead technical exercise, Chrsitianity is going into the world modeling a Christ likeness to the world. To do that we have to met certain obligations, standards and precepts that Jesus instructed us on. To find out what they are we must read or listen to scripture but we must also "LISTEN" put into practice what we heard. If we don't then we are aren't really listening we are simply letting the words come in one ear and out the other. |
