1 | "when thou art converted" | Luke 22:32 | New Creature | 40499 | ||
In Luke 22:32 Jesus says to Peter: "But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren." Does the phrase "when thou art converted" imply that Peter was non-converted at this time? Secondly, if Peter himself was not a convert to Christ Jesus, would that mean that at this time none of the other disciples were converts either at this juncture? |

Hello New Creature "Converted" is one of those words that is understood a little differently today. The NASB says it well "when you have turned back." In other words, when the fellowship broken by Peter's coming denial is dealt with, Peter will return and be able to help other believers. Steve |
