1 | What is Dominion Theology? | Luke 18:8 | DocTrinsograce | 177921 | ||
Hi, Aspilos... Thank you for your questions. I'll render the best off-the-cuff definition that I can -- begging the pardon of anyone who might differ in their own definition of the term. Dominion Theology is an eschatological view that godliness will gradually and eventually become predominant in secular society through the efforts of Christians. The notion is that it will ultimately usher in the millennial reign of Christ (by premilliennialists) or the consumation of the age (by amilliennialists in the 19th century). From what I can tell, it appears to be most commonly promulgated these days by Charismatics of various stripes. Bendiciones de paz y alegria, mio hermano en Christo. (Did I get that right?) Doc and Mark, thanks for the explanation. Now I see why you brought that up. I'd say that even the scripture examples that Mark gave earlier disagrees with that idea. Doc, you did well. Bendiciones de paz y alegria, mi hermano en Christo. Bendiciones! Aspilos |
