"We want to know that Jesus is God, God is Spirit, and the Holy Spirit is God. And there is only one God. Who is this god [sic] that is in your question?" personally my interpretation fo the bible leads me to believe that there is one god, that his son is jesus christ and that both of these entities are separate from the holy spirit. if all three are one and the same, then i have to go back to the scripture i quoted originally in Matthew:32Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come. ' if the holy spirit is the same as 'the son', how can blasphemy against one be forgiven while blasphemy against the other cannot? i very sincerely thank you for your efforts to help me with this question, it's been bothering me for quite some time. thanks. |

Sorry, Blasphemy of the 3rd person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit, will not be forgiven. Why we don't know. But in His personhood He is distinct from the Father and Son. John |
