Jesus was testing this woman's faith and attitude he had just referred to a her as Jew viewed pagans as "dogs". He said it wasn't right to give to pagans what was intended for God's children. Her response showed her humility and her faith in Him. Rather than argue her virtue or her good works, she pointed out that even the dogs sometimes get scraps that fall from the children's plate. Jesus seeing her humility and her faith in Him was moved and did as she asked. EdB |
