Hi Tim, None of the verses you gave were witnesses of the resurrected Christ. What were they witnesses of? Ask yourself that. Peace, |

Greetings Lionstrong! With the possible exception of some in the crowd in Acts 2 and Antipas (since we don't know much about him), your point is true. From the context of the verses though, they were apparently witnesses of what Christ had done for them, or for the reason for the hope within them. Thus, my understanding has always been that everyone is called to be a witness of what Christ had done and means to them. In fact, praise is the proclaimation of what God has done and what God is like. So, while not all may be called to 'preach', everyone is called to give a witness of what Christ has done for them. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
