1 | Should we use Religious titles here? | Mark 10:18 | John Reformed | 91738
Dear justme, Thanks for your reply. I understand how you feel. Nevertheless, the choice of a username should NOT become A bone of contention. It is up to each subscriber to choose the name that suits him/her. It's really none of my business. I certainly think it unfair to infer that a title, such as Pastor, means that the user has chosen it with the intention of lording it over others. "Why do those of you who use the title PASTOR, REV., OVERSEER, ELDER, DEACON, DR., or something simular do so? Is the use of these titles a way of assueing me you know more than me," I was offended; whether you meant to or not. You could have asked the question without listing a second question which (in itself) implied an immoral intention. You have proven that you are human. I wish that I had deleted some of my posts rather than having submitted them. Ah well, "act in haste and repent in liesure" is what my granny used to say. Thank you for kind words to me, Justme. I hope you don't think I'm trying to put you down. I just wanted to express what I think about your question. I doubt if too many of us are overly impressed by one's title anyway. What does surprise me is the lack of knowlege some so-called pastors/elders actually exhibit on the forum. "You can't tell a book by it's cover" is another old saw that comes to mind :-) Your Brother in Christ, John Reformed |

2 | Should we use Religious titles here? | Mark 10:18 | justme | 91816
John Reformed: I am deeply sorry for offending you John. That was not my intention ever. I had no idea that I implied anyone was immoral, I certianly was unaware of that. Thank you for bringing that to my attention. What can I do to correct this with you? Perhaps my brain was working on 6 volts, rather than the required 12 volts. I extend my sincere apologies to you and ask your forgiveness. I had no idea anything I wrote was directed to you, or you would take it as such. I ask again what can I do to make it right with you? Blessings. justme |

3 | Should we use Religious titles here? | Mark 10:18 | John Reformed | 91830
Dear Brother, Please...don't give it another thought. My post to you was not meant as a rebuke, but to bring to your awareness why someone might take what you said as a sharp criticism of their username. I believe you when you say that it was not your intention to offend. I guess that is why God has made us into a body...each member desiring the best for all. Grace and Peace, John |

6 | Should we use Religious titles here? | Mark 10:18 | justme | 91925
John Reformed:-) I have only recently heard the late Bill Bright give an interview on radio just a week before his passong on to the arms of Jesus. At the end og the program Bill asled to pray for those going on with the ministry he started. Bill used Holy Father, wwhen addressing God. That hit me right in the heart. What a wonderful way to give praise and honnor to our Lord Almighty! To me this is such a gem to have heard Bills prayer, what a man of God. Blessings to whatever you want me to call you! justme |
