Although tis may seem a silly question I would really appericate some help with this one. The passage I am hving difficulty with is Matthew chapter 9:14-17. Here is my question. When Christ talks about the new cloth on an old garment or new wine in an old wineskin is He using this as a picture of the Holy Spirit indwelling a beliver. you are correct when you say that christ is refering to the holy spirit. It would be impossiable for us to be saved if we stayed in the same old man that we was before we came to know christ. That is why Paul said, when I was a child I spoke as a child and done as a child ( so to speak,) but when I became a man I put away the childish things. When we become christians christ has to make us over again. We are a new creation in christ | ||||||
