I'm not sure what you asking you talk about Matthew but then include two verses of Genesis which seemingly have no connection. In Matthew 8:22 Jesus is rebuking a scribe that thinks he wants to follow Jesus but also is still concerned about this life. Jesus is saying if you're really sold out enough to follow me you won't concern yourself of things of this world. EdB |
