1 | Is complete darkness the norm for hell? | Matt 8:12 | Hank | 104701
Scripture frequently uses darkness and light to describe spiritual conditions or environments; thus, in a spiritual sense at least, hell certainly is a place of darkness. Similarly, they walk in darkness on this earth who don't know Christ. (Luke 1:79; Acts 26:18; 1 Peter 2:9). Whether dark as a starless night or bright as a raging inferno, hell is never pictured in Scripture as even a nice place to visit, much less a nice place to spend eternity. --Hank

Amen brother. I had to chuckle at your last comment. It is definitely not a vacation destination for those who want to spend eternity with the Lord. Praise and thanksgiving to all of you for taking the time to respond. In Christ's name, Thank You. |
