1 | throwing our pearl? | Matt 7:6 | helfafe | 27212
I have been thinking about this verse a lot recently...Bonhoeffer has an interesting view that this verse states that we are to be careful with proselytizing, etc so that we don't throw our pearl (the Kingdom of heaven see Mt 13:45-46) before those who care nothing for it. I was wondering if y'all (I'm from Georgia) had any thoughts or comments on it.
2 | throwing our pearl? | Matt 7:6 | Makarios | 27216
Greetings helfafe! I believe that we should never totally give up on a person to come to salvation, since we can always pray for that person. However, there are times when talking to that person just will not help. In this case, it would be better to pray for a person who will not be willing to speak about God, since the spiritual battle must be won first before a person is open to accepting the Gospel. Blessings to you, Nolan |
