1 | How important is God's Name? | Matt 6:9 | HisEmpress | 143064
How important is the name of the Most High and is Only Begotten Son? When we call on his name does he hear us even though we use variations. If the Son of God is born a Hebrew, why do we call him by a Latin name? Why don't we try to find out the truth and apply it? Where did the name God originate and what exactly did Moses call him? The bible says there is power in His Precious Name, well, if we call him by His Name what power will we posses?

3 | How important is God's Name? | Matt 6:9 | HisEmpress | 143067
Note is says "Hallowed be Your Name" God is not a name it is a title. He is the GOD of GODS. Our Lord and GOD. He has a name that is Hallowed. Also Jesus is a Latin name and he is Hebrew. If we study Hebrew culture we learn they have a strict way in which they live and He never would have been given a Latin name. John 14:13 says If we ask "IN HIS NAME". Hosea 4:6 says we are destoyed for a lack of knowledge. 2 Timothy 2:15 says study to shew thyself apporved. We are to study the word in order to find the truth.
4 | How important is God's Name? | Matt 6:9 | T'oma | 143091
Hello, HisImpress, your claim that God has a name that is Hallowed is SOMEWHAT correct. His names (plural), ALL OF THEM, are hallowed. You stated that “God” isn’t a name, it’s a title. That’s true, but, just like all of us, people refer to us with various titles, Father, Dad, Daddy, Grampy, Honey, son, brother, cousin, T’oma, Mister, hey you, etc. Each of these “titles” will get the same response - my undivided attention. And, when I am in a foreign country, my name changes accordingly. If they call me Senor, I respond. It matters not that T'oma is Hebrew. God’s names include but are not limited to El, Elyohim, Adonai, Shaddai, YHWH, Father. The verse in Jer. 33:3 instructs us to call upon Him and He will answer us. Without looking it up, do you know which “name” Jeremiah refers to Him as? Jesus instructed us to call His father Father. I do and will. And God, my father, responses to that no matter which language I or anyone else uses. T’oma |

5 | How important is God's Name? | Matt 6:9 | HisEmpress | 143123
Psalms 68:4 (KJV) says sing Praises to his name! Father is a title and you are right when you go to other countries your title does change but when Pres. Bush goes to china, his NAME does not change he is still Goerge Bush. When our savior was born his name was Yeshua (look it up). Also we should wonder why his name was changed. He says there is power in his name. Yes, for those of us who don't know the truth he will answer us when we call him by different names but he said ther is power in His Name. The same goes for YHWH there is power in his name as well. And a deciples of the most high it is our job and duty to seek out the truth and spread the word. The bible say where two are gathered in his name there He is also. Just think about the power in really being gathered in his name. The bible also says we (his people) are destroyed because of a lack of knowledge. (look it up) We need to have a zeal for the Most High and be obedient.
6 | How important is God's Name? | Matt 6:9 | T'oma | 143159
First off, HisEmpress, please forgive me for misspelling your name before. Names are important. It’s who we are. Sorry for the typo. Interesting that you pointed out that George Bush’s name doesn’t change if he goes to China. You are very correct. To his wife, he remains whatever her pet-name is for him. To Chinese diplomats he remains “Mr. President”, etc. But he still knows he is George Walker Bush. Psalms 68:4 is an excellent example to prove my point. To put it in proper perspective (according to the Hebrew), let’s use the “proper names” (plural) given in that verse. “Sing unto Elohim, sing praises to His name: extol Him praises to His name; extol Him that rideth upon the heavens by His name YAH, and rejoice before Him.” Elohim and YAH are not the same "names", correct? You asked me to look up what Jesus’ name was/or should be. I did. Isaiah 7:14 “…a virgin shall conceive and bear a son and shall call his name Immanuel.” Is this the verse you meant? That is how my Bible from the Jewish Publication reads, anyway. There IS power in His name! Which name? Was there more power in the name that Abraham knew “God” by, or Moses? Remember WHEN He was known as El Shaddai (God Almighty)? Translating Exodus 6:2-3 correctly with incorrect KJV in parentheses – “And Elohim (God) spoke unto Moses and said to him, I am Yahweh (the Lord): And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of El Shaddai (God Almighty), but by My name YAHWEH (Jehovah) was I NOT known to them.” God didn’t only change His Name, He changed others too. Abram to Abraham, Jacob to Israel, Saul to Paul – to name a few. But the most exciting thing is the new name that He will have. Rev 3:12Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him MY NEW NAME.
