My question stems from Matthew 15:17-19. Do these verses imply that all sin, whether before or after salvation begin in the heart? I always thought sin started in the mind. If we sin after salvation, does that mean that we still have the problem of the heart? |

James 1:14,15 - but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. Heart and Mind mean the same. Also, Salvation begins with the forgiveness of sin. It is a work begun by God in our life, which He will complete as time goes by (through various trials, faith, obedience) Philippians 1:5-7 |
