1 | Aliennow Can Satan enter belivers heart | Matt 5:13 | CDBJ | 160337 | ||
Hi ebrain, It's nice being able to talk to brothers in Christ form all over the world. In one of your former post you made a statement that I can half agree with you on. "Judas was not a beliver, in fact no one was untill after the resurection." Judas was definitely not a believer but there were many believers before the resurrection. Prime example, the Faith chapter in Heb. 11 The word faith has been translated form the Koine Greek, root words, PEITHO or PISTIS. It’s interesting that in the book of John the same word, Pistis, is translated believe in the English, while in other books the word faith is used; the two words are synonyms. The only difference between believers of the Old Testament and those on the New Testament is the direction they are looking at God’s Messiah. They looked forwards to His coming as promised and we look back when He was here with the privilege of knowing His earthly name, Jesus or Yeshua HaMashiach , with the promise having being fulfilled. John 8:56-58 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. [57] Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? [58] Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. Hebrews 10:5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: One would be safe in saying that the word Christian wasn’t used until after the resurrection. Acts 11:26 And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch. Again, nice having you on the forum, CDBJ |

Thank you CDBJ for your comments. Please look first at my input 3 lines above yours entitled "Yes but what is Aliennow's understanding". I am indeed well aware of the OT Saints, but the question which started my reply's is "Was Judas Iscariot a believer?". The answer is he was not. The questioner then went on to ask "Can Satan enter a belivers heart". Again the answer is no. Rightly or wrongly I concluded that the questioner was not asking about people before Judas, but Judas, and subsequent persons. Remember all His followers deserted Jesus and left Him to die alone, their state of mind is clearly spelt out for us in Luke Ch 24 v 21, "but we had hoped etc etc". Then there is Thomas, and what about John Ch 21. Peter, and others went back fishing, Jesus had to say "do you love me Peter". Later on yes, but even on the day that Jesus rose from the dead they were unsure. If you wish to ask me any questions, then please feel free to do so either on this website, or at the e-mail address, given in my Profile. May the Lord bless you. ebrain. |
