2 | Baptism a second time? | Matt 3:11 | jcdm327 | 172908 | ||
Friend, Baptism does not make you a Christian; you are baptized because you are a Christian. It is an act of obedience to the Lord, Jesus. It is an outward sign of an inward work. If you do not let the inward work happen, the outward sign is in vain. Paul teaches us to crucify our flesh. We are to die to our fleshly, carnal wants and to live after the spirit. If you do not crucify your flesh, but rather continue to live after the flesh, your baptism is in vain. Your faith in Christ caused your spirit to be re-born. You will need to feed your new spirit and kill the flesh so you will not fall into temptation. Then sin, then death. Grace then Peace, Jcdm327 |
