Greetings Gcurtis! "He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying." The women were the very first who heard this message, delivered to them by an angel! And it was one of the women, Mary Magdalene, who told Peter and John about the Good News! And then John outran Peter to the tomb and found out that what the women said was true, even though they didn't believe until the Lord appeared to them as well! After His resurrection, the Lord first appeared to Mary Magdalene (John 20:13-18), and Mary then went and told the disciples of the Good News! Blessings to you, Makarios |
