1 | Ezekiel ... Your 9 (10) points refuted? | Matt 28:19 | webpastor | 9210 | ||
Well God's Word is certainly true. Paul said that in the last days men would be "Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth." I would say that is certainly true for you two. Ezekiel is absolutely correct! Jesus said in Matthew 28:19 "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost" The word "name" here is singular, one name. God is not a name, Son is not a name, Holy Ghost is not a name. The name is Jesus! The disciples who were with him knew exactly what that name was. For indeed they had two things going for them that you two fellas don't have. 1. In Luke 24:45 He opened their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures. 2. In Acts 2:4 He filled them with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues. What name did they use? Acts 2:38 says it was Jesus. There are many other scriptures that prove out the same thing all through the book of Acts. Want some more truth? Go to a real Christian web site at www.apostolic.net There is only one God! Not three. There is no Trinity in the Bible. It's Roman Catholic pagan heresy. God said that the greatest of all commandments is "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD" Isaiah chapter 45 proclaims over and over "there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me." You will refute this also, I know. |

"webpastor" ... Gen 1:1 proves there is a Trinity. Do you know the Hebrew word for God used is Elohim? Do you know that means more than two? Then in verse 26, He says let Us make man in Our own image. Now even those who just understand English see that means more than one. There are are verses that use these words as well. Yes, there are verses that show there is one God - it is because they are Three in One. Please explain Gen. 1:1 and Gen. 1:26 to show there is no Trinity. |

If you were to take just that acripture alone as doctrine then there could be 17 Gods. How did you get three from that? We cannot take one scripture and make doctrine of it. We must take the whole council of God. God's Word is written precept upone precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, here a little, there a little. (Isaiah 28:9-13) Read John 1:1, it says: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Now read John 1:14, it says: And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. You see God manifested Himself in flesh and He called that flesh His Son. He did not send someone else to die for our sins. It's a much greater truth that that. . . He came HIMSELF! Not enough? 1 Timothy 3:16 says that "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory." Indeed great is the mystery, because even after reading this, you and most of the "Christian" world still will not understand. I know this truth through no ability of my own. It is a revelation of God. Most are blinded to truth because their heart is wicked and there is no truth or desire for truth in them. We live in the last days where evil has become good and good, evil. The so called "orthodox" Christian masses follow the false doctrine of the Trinity that evolved from Babylon. Jesus said: "...wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat. Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Most of so-called Christianity is lost. They do not know who God is. God is God and there is only one. To say that three of his manifestations somehow shows that God is Triune is to limit God. Was not God also manefested as a burning bush? Was He also not manefested and a pillar of a cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night? Here's a riddle for you, see if you can figure it out: John 4:24 says that "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." We know that by His mere title that the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit is also a Spirit. Yet Acts 20:28 says "Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood." If God is a Spirit where did a Spirit get blood? And if God were Triune and not one His Word proclaims over and over, would it not say "purchased with THEIR blood"? You will study your whole life yet you will never understand God's Word of yourself. Seek God first, pray for understanding. |

I did not say that Gen 1:1 and 26 alone proves the Trinity. I was asking you how you get Oneness when these passages prove otherwise. I have already posted how I, and others see the Trinity throughout Scripture. Again I ask you - prove Oneness in these passages, then we can move on to others. John 1 shows me part of the Trinity, as does 1 Timothy 3:16. There are some specific actions that the Father does, that the Son does and the Holy Spirit does. But, I say again the are equal and they do have some of the same attributes. Your riddle is easy to answer. It is not the Spirit's blood, but the Lord's. Many manuscripts say "the church of the Lord" instead of "the church of God." Plus, it is by Christ's blood that we are purchased. Again, this is seen in many passages. That is unique to Him. I do seek and search the Word and pray for understanding. |
