1 | The Lord has need of them or it | Matt 21:7 | DPOAG | 185510
Oh I noticed that in Matthew it says to tell the people that the Lord has need of "them" whereas the Luke and Mark say the Lord has need of "it". Do you think that is just a matter of the perspective of the writer recounting what he heard or saw?
2 | The Lord has need of them or it | Matt 21:7 | Morant61 | 185562
Greetings Dpoag! To put it simply, it is perfectly legitimate to mention only one donkey, even if there were two. Mark and Luke have every right to focus only on the donkey that Christ rode upon if they choose to do so. No historical account includes every possible detail. For some reason, Matthew decided to focus upon both donkeys. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
