Dear Searcher, "Gill's trash?" I think I see some "obvious denominational bias" showing. Isn't there something about that in the forum guidelines? I wonder how many of our comments on Scripture are going to still be read three hundred years from now? I wonder how many of us will even ever write (let alone publish) a complete systematic theology and a verse-by-verse commentary of the Bible, while pastoring a church for 51 years? Dr. John Gill pastored the London church where he took the place of another great pastor, Benjamin Keach, and was followed by the "Prince of Preachers," Charles Hadon Spurgeon. In order to prove your compliance with the forum guidelines, you must now explain Biblically how it is that Gill's writings are "trash." (1 Timothy 5:19) In Him, Doc PS For reference purposes, the guidelines state "Postings must be Biblically based. Posting must not be submitted as an effort foster debates, arguments, divisiveness, ill-will, dissension or disruptions to this forum." |

Master John, those be wery wise words, guv'nor, which don't apply to me, sir. You see, sir, I'm a mite proud to declare th' truth to you, sir, and declare it in a wery 'umble fashion indeed, sir, that I am not wiser than seven men. O, no sir. Six maybe, if I may be so 'umble to say so, but not seven, no sir, not seven. --Your 'umble and unworthy servant, Uriah Heep | ||||||
