1 | Divorce: believer or unbeliever | Matt 19:8 | lionheart | 153584 | ||
Good day my brother, This is an issue that has raised countless questions and speculation .Matthew 19:8-12 I refer back to this passage of scripture because our Lord lays some pretty solid ground work regarding divorce and marriage. Jesus states plainly here the only reason divorce was permitted was because of peoples hard hearts.Notice that he also states that this isnt the way it was in the beginning.Our Lord had it down cold when it came to relationships. Check out 2 Cor. 6:14 and then come back and read 1 Cor 7:10-17. The impression I get here is that we are talking about the unsaved.Not always easy but simple enough to understand and with Gods guidance make some sence of. In Christ, lionheart |
