1 | Violence by force? Matt 11:12 | Matt 11:12 | SpreadWord | 1153
I'd like to hear some opinions on the meaning of this verse. I've heard teachers say that this is a "good thing" indicating that we should be "violent" in our pursuit of the kingdom of heaven, but it is difficult for me to accept this interpretation. To "suffer violence" seems to be something that undesirable, and an improper way to secure the kingdom of heaven. No "right" or "wrong" answers on this one that I know of, but I'd love to hear your comments.

yes lets look at what is the Kingdom of God .righteousness , peace and Joy in the Holy Spirit. now what is the Kingdom of Heaven that is what belongs to heaven just as we belong to God. cause as we know the scipture says, the kingdom of God is within us.i think that it is warfare prayer just like Israel taking over the promised land had to fight to be established in the land we have to fight to obtain our promises. for the scripture says that we dont fight against flesh and blood but against principlities and powers and the rulers of darkness of this world, and spiritual wickedness in high places.eph6:12 which means we do fight, but not man.so if you want your part of the promised [spiritual] land start fighting those things in high places [one of the heavens] as we know there are three heavens .2 corr 12:2
