1 | Questions about blessing others - take 2 | Matt 10:13 | Rom831 | 28963
When do you bless and when is it time to remove your blessing? I am new here and trying this a 2nd time. I usually post on another board that has really been over run. One individule in particular, I feel, is either evil or has an evil spirit. As he constantly mocks for the rape and murder of my daughter (yes I know its just to get to me, bu evil that comes out the mouth comes from the heart). The reason this is my 2nd attempt is he followed me here and flooded my 1st attempt to get it disabled... As you can see below, I always sign my posts with a quick "bless". My question is based on these two passages: Luke 6:28 "bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you." Matthew 10: 13 "If the house is worthy, give it your blessing of peace. But if it is not worthy, take back your blessing of peace. 14 "Whoever does not receive you, nor heed your words, as you go out of that house or that city, shake the dust off your feet." So, WWJD??? Continue to offer prayers and blessings for him, or remove the blessing and dust my feet? Bless...ArtS P.S. Usually my only reply to him is a cut and paste as to his heart and why I won't converse with him. But even with the cut and paste, my question still remains... |

Greetings Rom831! I saw your first post and the reply. I didn't respond because I could tell something was up, but I wasn't sure what! First of all, let me express my sorrow and support for you. You have been through a difficult exprerience, and no one in their right mind should mock you about it. Having said that, I do believe that Scripturally we must always pray for and seek the best for even those who do evil to us. I have a situation with my oldest daughter where she has been led into a devastating life of sin by older men. There is nothing that I can do legally. As a father, I don't wish these individuals to be blessed. But, as a Christian, I pray that God will save and bless them. Concerning your protaganist, you have made your point to him. I would say that you need not ever respond to him again! When you do, he wins! Just turn him over to God and let God deal with him. As for this Forum, I doubt that you will see him here again. May God Richly Bless you my Friend! Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

Thanks for the reply. Maybe I should have clarified a little better. Nothing has happened to my daughter. He just thinks its funny to talk about it happening. Trying to get me to lash out. Anyway... I understand what you are saying, but what then is menat buy the Mat 10:13 verse that if they are unworthy, to take back your blessing and brush their dust off your sandals? That's from Jesus Himself... Bless...ArtS |

4 | Questions about blessing others - take 2 | Matt 10:13 | Morant61 | 28967
Greetings Art! I am very glad to hear that you did not have to endure such a thing! Concerning the man who is saying these things, I would seriously consider turning him into the police. His comments sound very much like terroristic threats. Concerning Mt. 10:13, I would say that these instructions are specifically for the disciples as they preached the Gospel to Israel. Their actions were symbolic of the judgement which would come upon them because of their rejection of Christ. However, they do not override, nor contradict, the instructions of Mt. 5:43-47. So, Mt. 10:13 concerns a reaction the the rejection of the disciple's preaching, while Mt. 5:43-47 concerns an individual's response to those who do evil to them. I hope this helps! Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

Eh, he's just clakning his gong. In the end, that's all evil can do. Besides, he is friends with another poster there and I know that guy is from Amsterdam. So I'm not sure this one is even in the US. As far as the verses, I'm still not sure. Its going to take more praying on I guess. Yes, Jesus was speaking to the disciples, but so was He many times and His truth is still, and always will be true. And anyone who spreads His word, is also His disciple. So He is speaking to us too. Much to contimplate... Bless...ArtS |
