1 | Is tithing for today? | Lev 27:30 | The Berean | 41927
Jesus never commanded us to tithe as new believers...scripture in the NT clearly states that we ought to give freely and proportionately. You will never find a NT believer after the resurrection in the bible who tithed. God's will is that you love him and love your neighbor...you should be willing to help your brother/sister with all you have, not necessarily 10 percent.

I agree completely. I use the term Tithe (probably incorrectly) to mean that which you give back to God - which would be whatever amount you can joyfully give. Traditionally, this amount is 10 percent based on OT and that it literally means a tenth.
