1 | salvation for demons? | Lev 18:25 | JCrichton | 140601
Hi! I can't remember which post suggested that the spirits which Peter speaks about are the fallen angels--I responded with a negative! Though we are all creatures of God, not all creatures choose to obey--John's Gospel tells us that the Light came onto the world and that He came to His own and His own believed Him not; but that He gave power to all who Believed to become children (sons) of God (John 1:1-14); further Jesus tells us that the evidence is that those who rejected Him prefered the darkness because they embraced unrighteousness rather than God (John 3:17-20); it is evident that Satan and his minions choose not to humble themselves and obey God... they reject Jesus' Authority even though they fear Him (Revelation 12:7-9, 12; Matthew 8:28-29) so, undoubtedly, since they would not repent and obey, there is no Salvation for them! Alas, we are all God's creatures... but not all choose to obey, not all choose to humbly seek God's mercy, not all choose to repent... hence many forfeit God's Gift of Life: Jesus' Salvation! 2 | salvation for demons? | Lev 18:25 | Pastor Glenn | 140604
Hello Angel, "... since they would not repent and obey, there is no Salvation for them!" Also, Jesus died as a man, as He paid the penalty of the death centance. We humans have the "advantage" of being able to shed our flesh and blood: 1 Corinthians 15 50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed-- 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory."[g] 55 "O Death, where is your sting?[h] O Hades, where is your victory?"[i] The angels are already immortal. They cannot be "born again" of the Spirit like we can. Remember that Jesus had to become completely human before dying for us: Heb 10 5 Therefore, when He came into the world, He said: "Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, But a body You have prepared for Me. The angels cannot have their sins taken away from their spiritual bodies. They have nothing to shed. Their corruption is in their spiritual bodies. They cannot shed there corrupt nature. They cannot change back holy. How could the debt of death be paid by a "physical" death of Christ? Any comments? Pastor Glenn |

3 | salvation for demons? | Lev 18:25 | JCrichton | 140613
Hi! While it is true that a spirit cannot be reborn into a spirit, Jesus' death, in the flesh, rescued all of humanity (John 1:12-13) from spiritual death... Satan and the fallen angels reject God--there is no salvation for them... the same God that can cleanse us of our sin has the power to cleanse the spirits (notice the power of the dragon who is by far less than God--Revelation 13:2-4, 12-15; clearly the Creator has much greater power than the creature!)... but even those who are born of the flesh can choose to not be regenerated (Revelation 16:8-11)... though God has the Power to Save all of humanity, we (humanity) can (and do) reject Salvation: Christ! Our ascension is into spiritual beings somewhat like the angels (Matthew 22:29-30), the angels are already spiritual beings... yet they are not created in God's image nor is God's Spirit dwelling in them (John 14:16-17)... all these factors, of course, do not negate God's Mercy nor Power... the only thing that does negate God's Mercy and Power is a rebellios and unrepentant heart... our will must acquiesce to God's... the fallen angels refused!... notice that in God the past, present, and future are complete (Acts 15:18)... this is why Christ is able to state that the prince of this world (and his minions with him) has been Judged! Salvation is also complete (all the players are set) and humanity has been chosen, in Jesus. This of course does not mean that we are all automatically saved... Jesus made that quite clear (John 12:46-48; 11:25-26; 3:17-21)... God Bless! Angel |
