1 | What caused two of Aarons sons to die. | Lev 10:2 | skccab | 212840
Greetings MJH You did just fine without spell check!! First of all, let me thank you for your explanation of your previous post (I'm a Sabbath person :o) ). I just wanted to add to this subject my 2cents - Lev. 10:1 says that Nadab and Abihu took fire and incense (which appears to be fire and incense from somewhere other than the God-ordained altars) and my Bible reads that "each took his censor" which leads me to believe that possibly the censors were their own to be used in their homes, again a thing that God did not tell them to do. Mostly, though, look at verses 8-11 - it appears that these men went before the Lord in a drunken state....??? It's not so much that they got drunk, it's that they got drunk and then went before the Lord to do service to Him of their own accord. So it looks like they missed it big time - unholy fire, unholy incense, unholy utensils, and unholy behaviour. You think? :o) Cheri |

2 | What caused two of Aarons sons to die. | Lev 10:2 | MJH | 212844
It's been awhile since I studied this text and I remember discussing the possibilities of what might have happened. Since at that time we did not have a definitive answer, I choose to answer what I did know at the very least. I’m not in a place at this time on this forum to speculate . Even facts, those stubborn things, get me in trouble. However, your note is the very kind of small group discussion that I am so fond of and remember well. I've been away for 6 months and I miss it. Thanks for the added info. MJH |

3 | What caused two of Aarons sons to die. | Lev 10:2 | skccab | 212846
MJH, Yeah, it gets me into trouble too. But that's OK. It keeps the God-given mind active and alive, open to possibilities (and also teaches gobs of humility when you get it wrong). :o) Cheri |
