1 | Is my marriage o.k. in God's eyes? | Amos 1:1 | lookingforanswers | 83941 | ||
I have a marriage license through a minister of God. I was brought up as a Catholic. My husband died 17 years ago. My present husband was divorced. His xwife is remarried. I know that it was not because of unfaithfullnesst. We have been married 7 years. It is a good marriage and we are very happy together. It is unfathomable that we seperate. It would hurt so many people . Lately I have been asking him if we could get an annullment from his first marriage because I'm afraid that God may consider me as an adulterer. But my husband says that it is not necessary . I am having a hard time with this. Could you please enlighten me on this? |

1 John 1:9 Gives perfect advice as to what he should do concerning a wrongful divorce in the past. 1 John 1:9 If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just (true to His own nature and promises) and will forgive our sins [dismiss our lawlessness] and [continuously] cleanse us from all unrighteousness [everything not in conformity to His will in purpose, thought, and action]. Once forgiven, focus on the future. Jesus often told people, "Go and sin no more." |
