1 | Will there be 2nd resurection | Ex 4:3 | Chomba | 217396
I was reading a book that said there will be a special resurection for those that pierced him since they are already condemned. Are they?

Hello chomba, Possibly you refer to the resurrection of the dead? This "will be simultaneous both of the just and the unjust (Dan. 12:2; John 5:28, 29; Rom. 2:6–16; 2 Thess. 1:6–10)." [M.G. Easton, Easton's Bible Dictionary] BradK |

Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. Rev 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that has part in the first resurrection: on such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. Be Blessed |

Greetings rakpak, Here is one that is a mystery? The Bible states, Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: We know as believers in Christ that our sins where judged in Christ on the cross so the judgment for believers in Jesus will be one for rewards. Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. CF 2 Cor. 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. The judgment seat is the Greek word BEMA seat, which is for rewards not condemnation. The question is this: Those that are born and trust, and believe in Jesus during the millennium will need to have a judgment seat, as it were, at some point in time; when will it be, since the only judgment spoken of after the millennium is the white throne judgment? Rev. 20:11-15 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Does scripture speak from silence, because the believers aren’t dead so they are in fact written in the book of life? Have fun, CDBJ |

First, lets establish the Bema seat. Where does it say it is only for rewards. And Bema is not in Rev. that I can find. This is interesting CDBJ |

6 | Will there be 2nd resurection | Ex 4:3 | BradK | 217422
Hello rakpak, The believer is not judged as to our (their) eternity. The Bema seat judgment is in regard to reward: 1 Cor 3:11-15- " For no man can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each man's work will become evident; for the day will show it because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test the quality of each man's work. If any man's work which he has built on it remains, he will receive a reward. If any man's work is burned up, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire." (NASB) 2 Cor 5:10- "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad." (NASB) This is in reference to reward, not judgment as to our (believers) eternal destiny. Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |
