1 | Ref to love slave in N.T. Is there any? | Ex 21:5 | mark d seyler | 164336
Hi ceebee7, Is this the verse you are thinking of? Exodus 21:5 "But if the slave plainly says, 'I love my master, my wife and my children; I will not go out as a free man,' If so, I am not aware of a similar reference in the New Testament, however, the Greek word "doulos" is often used refering to Christian, and I have heard many teachers say that this is the "bond-slave", or slave by choice as described in Exodus. That seems to fit! I hope this helps! Love in Christ, Mark |

is there a reference to Jesus being shaken awake whilst he was fast asleep in the boat during the storm in any translation of the bible. I've heard this a couple of times now in sermons but am unable to find proof that he was actually shaken awake. ref M't 8:24. M'k 4:38. Lu 8:23
