1 | Does God justify Murder, | Ex 20:13 | Makarios | 37533
Greetings God's faithful warrior, Perhaps Lifer is speaking from a position that believes in eternal security. And I see no problem with speaking from that perspective. However, I'm not sure just what the question "Does God justify Murder?" has to do with eternal security, since Exodus 20:13 seems to be very explicit and convincing, if you are one who believes in the final authority of the Bible. Blessings to you, Makarios |

2 | Does God justify Murder, | Ex 20:13 | God's faithful warrior | 37541
dear Makarios, Blessings on ya, and may the Grace and Peace of God be with ya. If eternal security means that no matter what i do after professing Christ as my savior, where then is the accountability or does it really matter that we repent of our sins. does repenting of our sins merely reestablish fellowship and communication with God. if this is the case, then worst case scenario to murdering someone without seeking forgiveness would be maybe lost blessings here on earth. as for the final authority of bible, this is what i base my query upon, please see. 1 cor 6:9,10; Gal 5:19-25; Heb 6:4-6; 10:26-31. Matt 7:15-23 etc., if eternally secure means i go to heaven regardless of my actions. then God becomes a tyrant that condones murder and every other iniquity. again where is the accountability, or does it matter. God's faithful Warrior. God Bless ya. |

3 | Does God justify Murder, | Ex 20:13 | Makarios | 37545
Greetings God's faithful Warrior.. I've said it before and I will say it yet again.. "The Biblical doctrine of eternal security does not contradict or negate the responsibility of man to repent and trust Christ as Savior and Lord (Ezek. 18:23,32; 33:11; John 3:18,19,36; 5:40; 2 Thess. 2:10-12; Rev. 22:17). Such a stance that claims that eternal security contradicts the responsibility of a believer to repent of their sins or to profess Christ as Lord is a misconception and complete misunderstanding of the position of eternal security." (Taken from one of my many posts on the subject..) If you would like to know more about eternal security and its Biblical support, then please use the "Search" function at the right, or look up key verses such as Ephesians 2:8,9 or Hebrews 6:4.. 4 | Does God justify Murder, | Ex 20:13 | God's faithful warrior | 39595
Praise the Lord Makarios,i've been fairly busy of late, but i want to thank you for taking out the time to respond to my query on 3/06/02. Ephesians 2:8,9 or Hebrews 6:4.. are both excellent scripture to substantiate why we have nothing to boast about as for as meriting salvation. We are all borne of sin and shaped in iniquity desperately in need of a savior. Thank God for Jesus the Christ. I'm not debating that point. I'm focusing more on ACCOUNTABILITY and what constitutes genuine faith. Again, Realizing that we are not saved by works, i truly believe that faith without works( corresponding action) is dead. According to scripture you see that Abraham, the father of faith, his faith was working with his works, and as a result of the works, his faith was perfected. I believe that by exercising our faith, that we grow in faith.(please James 2:14-26) To merely make a mental assent to the word of God, and not commit to doing the word of God, is dangeroulsy deceptive to the individual professing to know Jesus the Christ. please see.. (1jn 2:2-6)(mat.7:15-27)([Ps. 6:8.] My point is, after professing to have accepted Jesus the Christ, as Lord and saviour, does one who willfully continue to sin without repentance, and then happens to die in his sin, still go to heaven. Those who profess ETERNAL SECURITY,seem to be saying that no matter what sin you commit your sins, past, present and FUTURE are already forgiven.(please see 1 John 3:4-15) God Bless ya, please reply. |
