Dear Doc, That's a wonderful principle, but it doesn't help when I'm looking for proof that Jesus was the Messiah. Matthew was making a case that Christ was the Messiah because He fulfilled that prophesy, but the only way we know it was a prophesy is because Matthew's gospel says so? That doesn't sound like a very good case to me. |

what was for told in the old testament came to pass in the new testament. and as the Holy Ghost was the key information source in the old testament, it is just a important to know that it is also the Holy Ghost that reveals it in the new. as far as Matt recording, it was already recorded in the old and it was bought into the new testament , in other words it came to pass, and the reference goes back to the old testament. " study to show your self approve unto God. when we study Gods' work the Holy Ghost will lead us and guide us into all truth. | ||||||
