1 | What is your input? | Dan 1:12 | annamarie | 145459 | ||
I realize that when we give our life to Christ, be reborn, that Satan has been defeated in that way, Satan was defeated when Jesus went to the cross and was crucified. What I am wanting to know is what a person is not to eat whil on this fast, do you know if pasta, fish or drinking coffee on this fast is acceptable or not? The reason I want to go on this fast is to get closer to my FAther and I am already submitted to Him,, to be able to hear Him more clearly for His direction in my life at this time,what is your input? |

annamarie Again I commend your zeal. A fast to be meaningful should include the foods you most enjoy. Search yourself what is a real sacrifice for you to go without. However I wouldn’t attempt to do this without first seeking God on the matter. Ask Him what you should and should not include. May I also suggest you attempt shorter fasts first. Maybe a day or two without food just water and see how that goes. Remember you want to spend the time you usually spent preparing and eating food now in prayer. You not trying to demonstrate your righteousness but instead your trying to bring discipline to your body so it learns to ignore the distractions that would keep you from drawing closer to God. What ever you do keep your fast as private as possible before and after, let God be glorified not you. EdB |
