Mrodri, Where do you get the term "unleashed waters to swim in", from which translation? I use the Amplified, NASB, and KJV mainly, and the words used are "torrent" "risen waters" "river too deep," so that you cannot wade in it, you must totally immerse yourself and swim in it. I believe it represents the Gospel and the Holy Spirit. First a small trickle in Asia Minor then it gets deeper and deeper and deeper as it moves throughout the earth. As a new believer, you hear but a trickle of the Gospel, you believe it and immerse yourself in it, and thru the Holy Spirit you move deeper and deeper into the revelations of God's mercy and grace and love. Maybe that's what is "unleashed"? As we as believers move from milk to the meat of the Word, from grace to grace, from faith to faith? If I'm way off here, please forgive, and correct. Blessings Cheri |

Cheri, So is this true for the Flood of Noah's day? That was even more water. When will this take place? Where is the Holy Spirit at that time? Searcher |

Good day to you Searcher, Good point lots of water there in the flood. But look at this please and see if there is perhaps a spiritual significance to water. I believe that we can see this throughout the Bible. Leviticus 15:13 - And when he that hath an issue is cleansed of his issue; then he shall number to himself seven days for his cleansing, and wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in running water, and shall be clean. Psalms 65:9 Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it. (And may I say In this next verse we can see a clear spiritual significance. Note the reference, to the soul in drought, thou shalt be (like) a watered garden. ) Isaiah 58:11 And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not. Jeremiah 2:13 For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water. Ezekiel 36:25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. (And this next verse is clearly metaphorical.) Joel 3:18 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim. (This next verse I believe, Refers to the spiritual cleansing we get from God's word.) John 4:14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. (This next one lends credence to my last inference.) Ephesians 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, Hebrews 10:22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Revelation 21:6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. Revelation 22:1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. Can you see how one could easily derive a spiritual signefecance from water, pretty much unless it very clearly refers to something else, like the man carrying the pitcher in Mark 14:13. So Brother, may I say, if you see a spiritual significance in water, I think its ok to go with it, even though you cant prove it. God bless. John |
