1 | Did Lucifer lead worship before fall? | Ezek 28:1 | Hank | 45839
SRN: Your logic is hard for me to follow. You say, "If the system we live in is evil and ROCK is anti-system - How can Rock n' Roll be evil." Is that not much the same as asking, "If Hinduism, the system that Hindus live by, is a false religion, and Islam opposes Hinduism (is anti-system), how can Islam be a false religion?" Thus, is it not perfectly true that two "systems" can exist, each in opposition to the other, and yet both be evil, or both be false from the Christian perspectve, as in the illustration of the two religious systems, Hinduism and Islam? If our "system" is, as you say, evil and rock music is, as you also say, anti-system, does it necessarily follow, therefore, that rock music is free of evil? Or does the possibility exist that one set of evils is being opposed by introducing another set of evils? A heavy smoker, let's say, quits smoking and takes to gluttony. He is anti-smoking, which is good, but has replaced the habit with gluttony. Does that make gluttony good? --Hank
2 | How did prince of tyre become satan | Ezek 28:1 | SRN | 46742
Son of man, say to the prince of Tyre, Thus says the Lord God: Because your heart is lifted up and you have said and thought, I am a god, I sit in the seat of the gods, in the heart of the seas; yet you are only man [weak, feeble, made of earth] and not God, though you imagine yourself to be almost more than mortal with your mind as the mind of God; - How does the Prince of Tyre become SATAN I mean I don't get it.
3 | How did prince of tyre become satan | Ezek 28:1 | Scribe | 46759
Ezekiel 28:13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. The prophet is speaking of two things. He does address the king of Tyre but as he does he moves from the outward things we see and know such as the political affairs of men and into the spiritual "behind the scences" things, that of the powers of darkness that are using wicked kings for the plans of the prince of darkness. So as satan is called the prince of this world by Jesus Christ our Lord, and as Paul says that we wrestle not against flesh and blood but spiritual wickedness in high places, we understand that the powers of darkness are behind many things even if the men being used do not believe in such things. Remember also the angel Gabriel telling Daniel that he was sent to Daniel 21 days prior but the prince of persis resisted him and then Michael came and helped him. In that passage it is obvious that the prince of Persia he is talking about is not a man, for no man can resist and angel who are greater in power and might, but either satan or a fallen angel of great powers in the spirit realm but not greater than Michael. |
