1 | What does God say on blocking life? :) | Jer 1:5 | drapngflwr | 126225
Thank you, I went and read that chapter. I agree completely, my heart tells me that its not ok with god, at the same time we live in different times where the world is quickly getting over-populated and with all the different ways to block life from continuing, such as tubal ligation and vesectomies. I feel wrong in getting a tubal ligation as if god would have me stay as he made me, then again I already have four children. I am very fertile. I will pray some more on this.
2 | What does God say on blocking life? :) | Jer 1:5 | Morant61 | 126247
Greetings! Let us think this thought all the way through to it's logical conclusion. If blocking life from beginning is a sin, then not having sexual relations would be a sin since one not having sexual relations is preventing life from beginning! :-) Scripture simply doesn't not say anything about birth control period! The one passage usually mentioned concerns the 'spilling of seed'. But, this man was not condemned for practicing birth control. He was condemned for not fulfilling his obligation to his brother's widow. Scripture does speak against murder. So obviously, any form of 'birth control' that kills a life already begun would be sin. But, measures taken to prevent conception are not prohibited in Scripture. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
