I agree with Bradk and Beja. Jesus was the fulfillment of the Sabbath and He is Shiloh the rest giver, Gen 49 We no longer keep the Sabbath but celebrate the resurrection on the first day of the week. Even the worship styles differ (Jewish Sabbath worship Christian Sunday worship) as do controlling laws and regulations. I think these points got confused as preachers for the pulpit tried to build Sunday commitment by reading Jewish Sabbath law. |

In all of my studies I have come to the conclusion that Jesus became our sabbath rest-it is just this one vs. in ISAIAH that stumps me. Also, why will we be having a "new moon"if we will not have any darkness in heaven as it says in Revelation?Does anyone have any thoughts on Isaiah, NOT Hebrews? | ||||||

I don't see Isaiah as giving theological insight on New Moons or Sabbaths but is using common ways of saying weekly and monthly to say the worship of God will happen every week of every month. We know time is still considered in New Jerusalem and New Earth by the fact that Tree of Life is said to produce fruit Monthly Rev 22:2 | ||||||
