Subject: Does Is.66:23 mean sabbath still stands? |
Bible Note: You are absolutely correct nothing was taken away. However many things were fulfilled by Jesus. Sabbath day rest was fulfilled by the Rest Giver Shiloh. We are still to worship God but we can rest in the assurance that our salvation through grace has been purchased for us. Jesus declared Himself the Lord of the Sabbath. What do you suppose that meant? Likewise Jesus made this statement while He and His disciples were in fact breaking the Jewish Sabbath Law. Why do you suppose Jesus did that? Jesus said God is Spirit and those that worship God must worship God in spirit and truth. How does that fit into our view of Sabbath worship? |
