Hi, sunam... Both are correct, for both are Scripture.! :-) Isaiah was written in Hebrew and John in Greek. Perhaps, therein is the difference. I'm not too keen on the Jerusalem Bible. It was a "translation" done in great haste and for reasons that I deem less than worthy of the nature of the Word. (My opinion.) Try the NASB or the ESV. In Him, Doc |

Thank you Doc. I am neither good at English nor at understanding the Bible. I am still not sure if "who could believe what we have heard said" is grammatically OK: what we have heard said. |
