1 | Purpose in Ecclesiastes and Jeremiah | Eccl 3:1 | Blazing Lanterns | 116580
In reading the versions of this passage, I notice the word "purpose" stands out to me. Without sounding too obvious, there seems to be a simple revelation for me that there is a purpose or plan for Everything that is in God's Will....just like it says. This also reminds me of Jermiah 29:11 as it seems these verses (just like the entire bible) interlocks rather nicely. Does anyone else have a take on this?
2 | Purpose in Ecclesiastes and Jeremiah | Eccl 3:1 | Rowdy | 117528
I like to think of all the lives that live on this planet now, as well as the past and present as God's mosaic. Each one of us has a very specific purpose in this mosaic. Our lives might be rather quiet and reserve or they might be loud and haughty. We might not have a relationship with God at all or hopefully we allow God's light to shine through our lives, our words and our ever action. It's all up to us just as in our Lord's parable about men with various talents. We all have great potential and can be whatever we choose to be. To benefit most from this perspective, we must allow the Lord be the Potter and we the clay. We should study His Word every day and be in a constant state of mind given to prayer. All we do must be seen to hold up our small portion of that mosaic and all the worries and burdens of the world should be given over to Him instead of our "obsessing" with them. Thank God for His Grace and love...He's even anxious to forgive if we'll just ask. Good question and God bless. |
