2 | Is civil disobedience OK when... | Prov 3:13 | Asis | 104861
When man's law contradicts God's commandments and laws we have an obligation to stand up for Him. All authority comes from God but God's authority is above all other. If the two come into conflict our choice is clear. It is however our reaction to the authorities after we disobey man's law that is the difference between those who are disciples and those who are not. If a law was passed prohibiting the making of disciples of Jesus. We would have to disobey that law. We have a command from a higher authority which must be followed. However when caught we would not fight but proclaim the higher authority and take the consequences whatever they may be.
