2 | Was Christ made in hvn b4 human birth? | Prov 30:4 | Searcher56 | 18070 | ||
Cheryllou, He was not made in Heaven. In John 1:1 we see Jesus was "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God ... (vs 14) And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth." In Isaiah 9:6, the Messiah (Jesus Christ) is called: "Mighty God" and "Eternal Father." He is God from all eternity not created. In Psalm 90:2 (compared with Col. 1:16) Jesus Christ is called the "everlasting to everlasting" creator. He cannot be "everlasting to everlasting" if He was created. In Exodus 3:14-17 (compared with 1 Cor. 10:1-5 and John 8:58) Jesus Christ calls Himself the "I am" "God." Particularly evident in the Hebrew text, "I am" means to "exist" not be created. Steve |
