2 | the righteous may fall 7 times-proverbs | Prov 24:16 | BMyers | 198162 | ||
If I'm reading it correctly, Proverbs 24:15-16 is one sentence/proverb. PR 24:15 Do not lie in wait, O wicked man, against the dwelling of the righteous; Do not destroy his resting place; PR 24:16 For a righteous man falls seven times, and rises again, But the wicked stumble in time of calamity. Reading the whole proverb is a warning to those who plan evil against the righteous. The righteous man may fall, but he will be restored. The wicked will ultimately end in destruction. |
