1 | Take contractors to court? | Prov 20:23 | Grace460 | 196028
Blessings to all, it has been a while since I have been in here. I know that God is all knowing and all powerful. My question is this, recently we had water damage in our home from an icemaker tube that sprung a leak, and the contractor who repaired the damages has done more damage to our home, but denies doing it. We have found so much damage to appliances, our water heater has burnt up because evidently the contractors when they took it out installed it wrong. I would estimate that they have done about three to four thousand dollars worth of damage in addition to the twelve thousand dollars worth of damage from the water itself. In the Word of God, is it wrong to take this company to court for damages that they have caused? I know that God tells us not to take your brother to court. And does anyone have any other ideas about from a legal standpoint of what we can do? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you and God Bless.

Hi, Grace... Our legal system is designed so that you can seek the redressing of wrongs. I wouldn't worry about taking a brother to court. This kind of behavior isn't consistent with Christian standards of righteousness. File suit, only ask for what is fair, and let the authorities make the proper judgment. In Him, Doc |
