1 | anyone got any ideas on this scripture? | Prov 12:27 | Just Read Mark | 85015
Speaking of starting something and not following through, here is one of my favorite proverbs: "The sluggard buries a hand in the dish, and is too tired to bring it back to the mouth." (Proverbs 27:15) Isn't that fantastic? In fact, the whole section surrounding that verse deals with laziness -- including the paralysis of irrational fear (v.13). These passages where useful to me during a job-search, when I was feeling discouraged. These words continue to help me to "follow-through". |

GREAT VERSE - I loved Hank's repsonse to you as well! If the King's children are too tied to eat at His table, they've been working too hard! (The operative word is THEY - for it is Christ in us who WORKS - He gives us REST!! I'm wondering if striving to do things in our own effort is a cause of spiritual laziness?) 3 | anyone got any ideas on this scripture? | Prov 12:27 | jade | 85237
that is profound and worthy of thinking on mommapbs. I know I get lazy in my walk and diligence is nowhere to be found in my household some times, and yes, there is plenty of hard work going on in my strength. Whoops. Fasting is an excellent example of that for me lately, a group of brethren in our congregation have banded together for a month to do a roll on fast, In Christ's strenght we get through with blessing on our heads, in our own strength we bomb out, spin out and fail. jade |
