Bible Note: Speaking of starting something and not following through, here is one of my favorite proverbs: "The sluggard buries a hand in the dish, and is too tired to bring it back to the mouth." (Proverbs 27:15) Isn't that fantastic? In fact, the whole section surrounding that verse deals with laziness -- including the paralysis of irrational fear (v.13). These passages where useful to me during a job-search, when I was feeling discouraged. These words continue to help me to "follow-through". |
