Greetings! VERY simplistically, follow through is lacking! At first reading, it seems to me that "lazy" and "diligent" are opposite qualities. While both the lazy and the diligent have goals purpose or pursuits, only the diligent will realize or enjoy the benefit of them. How we pay attention to our relationships, our work and especially God's Word can be brought into focus by meditating on the Truth expressed in this verse. May God reveal areas of our lives where we are "lazy" and may we in response, diligently pursue Him for all our needs! mommapbs |

3 | anyone got any ideas on this scripture? | Prov 12:27 | Just Read Mark | 85015
Speaking of starting something and not following through, here is one of my favorite proverbs: "The sluggard buries a hand in the dish, and is too tired to bring it back to the mouth." (Proverbs 27:15) Isn't that fantastic? In fact, the whole section surrounding that verse deals with laziness -- including the paralysis of irrational fear (v.13). These passages where useful to me during a job-search, when I was feeling discouraged. These words continue to help me to "follow-through". |

Just Read Mark: Hello! The verse in Proverbs (26:15) reminds me of something I've heard my mother say many times. She would often say of someone who showed no ambition, "He's too lazy to get a job in a pie factory tasting pies." My mother was born and raised in rural Alabama and enriched my life and language with a number of rustic but colorful and expressive turns of phrase. --Hank
