Hi Muller, In verse 6:2 we see that the “Sons of God” were taking the daughters of men as wives. The “Sons of God” were righteous men who called upon the name of the Lord (Gen 4:26) or those who are led by the Spirit of God (Romans 8:14). These marriages resulted in the corruption of the entire human race (Gen 6:12). They corrupted their way upon the earth and lost their true direction. The exception was Noah, who found grace in the eyes of the Lord (Gen 6:5-8). Look at Gen 4:26 and Gen 6:12 as bookends. What happened? The answer is Gen 6:2. Jim |
