1 | Who are the sons of God in Genesis 6:2? | Gen 6:2 | EdB | 108166
makarios Scripture says they don't give and take in marriage. It says nothing about the ability to or the lack of ability to procreate. They may have a very different way of which we know nothing of. Or they may out of obedience to God not exercise the ability but then that leaves open the possibly for fallen angels to exercise the ability. The fact is we just don't know. EdB |

2 | Who are the sons of God in Genesis 6:2? | Gen 6:2 | kalos | 108348
"For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven" IF this verse can be interpreted to mean that although angels do not marry, they are still capable of having sexual relations and fathering children, then it would also be true that humans "in the resurrection" are capable of having sexual relations and fathering children. After all, in this verse doesn't Jesus say "they are like angels in heaven"? According to Jesus Himself, what is true of one group is also true of the other. One can't have it both ways. Either BOTH angels and humans (who've been resurrected) can have physical relations that produce children, OR NEITHER angels NOR those humans can procreate. |
