1 | Who are the sons of God in Genesis 6:2? | Gen 6:2 | Makarios | 108296
EdB, "Scripture says they don't give and take in marriage. It says nothing about the ability to or the lack of ability to procreate. They may have a very different way of which we know nothing of. Or they may out of obedience to God not exercise the ability but then that leaves open the possibly for fallen angels to exercise the ability. The fact is we just don't know." That is not true, Ed. I completely disagree with you on this issue. I believe that when Jesus says "For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven", He not only mentions that angels are not given in marriage, but they also do not procreate with each other. I am and always will be against any material that even gives the possibility of angels procreating. I believe that when God made the angels, He made them for a purpose, and that purpose does not include procreation. We cannot place human characteristics on all aspects of the things of heaven, and that includes procreation. The only beings that procreate are those who are upon the earth and restricted to dwelling on the earth. Blessings to you, Makarios |

2 | Who are the sons of God in Genesis 6:2? | Gen 6:2 | EdB | 108307
Makarios It clearly says they do not marry. While I believe they do not procreate this statement does not state they are incapable of that procreation. To suggest it does adds words to what scripture actually says. EdB |

3 | Who are the sons of God in Genesis 6:2? | Gen 6:2 | Makarios | 108312
Greetings Ed, I disagree with you, since you overlook the fact that Jesus says, "like the angels of heaven.." When Jesus says this, He is not saying that marriage is the only way that angels differ from human beings. He is alluding to the fact that there are many things that angels do not do that we find ourselves doing. Do you not know that angels are different beings from us, and spirits at that? (Hebrews 1:7,14) Makarios |

4 | Who are the sons of God in Genesis 6:2? | Gen 6:2 | EdB | 108324
Makarios That is linguistically untrue. His words never allude to any sort of thing. While I agree angels are far different than humans Jesus' statement does not carry the connotation or inference you claim it does. EdB |

Read what you said you said you believe what you said in the last post was true. I said okay. There is no fact or basis to what you said so if you want to believe it, it was okay with me. EdB |

It was never my intention to begin with. I was hoping to share some wisdom but obviously it was unwanted and unreceived. I'm truely saddened I thought I could speak into your life. Perhaps I let my pride blind me. EdB |
